CaseStudy 52 - SIMONA® PE 100 Liner Pipes reduction method for rehabilitation of drinking water main in Bern Brochures
In the Swiss capital of Bern a DN 300 mm grey cast iron drinking water main dating back to 1959 and spanning a length of 350 metres was rehabilitated. Owing to the high volume of traffic and the high cost of repair, it was not possible to consider an open-cut, conventional method of construction. For this reason, a decision was taken to renew the old grey cast iron pipeline by means of the reduction process (swagelining) using tough, pressure-resistant SIMONA® PE 100 Liner Pipes.

ProjectReport 20 - Drinking-water pipeline renewed with SIMONA® SPC RC-Line Protective-Jacket Pipes Brochures
Public utility company Stadtwerke Mainz replaced a 3.7 km-long section of a major drinking-water pipeline with a special emphasis on cost-efficiency and environmental compatibility. The pipeline runs through the districts of Kostheim and Kastel and supplies drinking-water from the Hof Schönau and Petersaue waterworks to localities east of the Rhine. As it runs through the inner city area, there was very little space available for the rehabilitation project.

ProjectReport 13 - Renovation of a drinking water pipe System using SIMONA® SPC protective-jacket pipes Brochures
Due to continuous heavy water loss through old, defective water pipes in the drinking water supply of the Siberian town of Krasnoyarsk, a long-term solution was required for the water pipeline system. Coordinated by B & Q Omni Trade GmbH, Domburg and the planning services of Aufdermauer consultants, Krasnoyarsk officials opted for a modern PE pipeline system of SIMONA® PE 100 protective-jacket pipes.
