Electrically conductive semifinished plastics from SIMONA

ATEX is the abbreviated name of the European Directive 2014/34/EC concerning the placing on the market of explosion-proof electrical and mechanical equipment, components and protective systems.

We operate a comprehensive consulting service for all issues relating to the use of SIMONA products. Our Applications Technology Department offers on-site expertise, as well as organising customer training seminars at SIMONA's Plastics Academy and assisting with the implementation of ATEX-related measures.

Definitions

The ATEX Directive applies to all electrical and mechanical equipment and protective systems which are located within potentially explosive environments.

SIMONA – 40 Years' Experience in Plastics. Electrically conductive plastics developed by SIMONA AG can be used in devices and protection systems that are subject to ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.

ATEX product range

SIMONA offers a comprehensive range of materials from polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) to polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). Special soot particles are added to the above-mentioned materials, thus making them electrically conductive.
