Kirn, September 25, 2025 - SIMONA AG, one of the world's leading manufacturers of semi-finished thermoplastics, pipes, and fittings, has acquired an interest in fiberior GmbH, Kaiserslautern, Germany. The rationale behind the partnership is to extend the company's innovatory capabilities in the market for semi-finished thermoplastic products by developing fiber-reinforced materials.
Synergies for forward-looking applications
The partnership brings together SIMONA AG's many years of market-specific experience and a global sales network with fiberior GmbH's technological expertise in the field of fiber-reinforced plastic composites. Both companies have identified significant potential in this market and intend to tap into it through close cooperation. The focus of their joint efforts is on developing lightweight and high-strength components for mobility applications, designing hydrogen tanks, and engineering fiber-reinforced pipes for industrial applications.
As a recent start-up, fiberior GmbH designs and manufactures customized semi-finished products and components from continuous-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics using a specially developed production process.
