Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) establishes harmonized requirements for packaging across the European Union. The regulation aims to reduce packaging waste, improve the recyclability of packaging, promote the use of recycled materials, and strengthen the circular economy. In addition, the PPWR requires manufacturers to provide certain manufacturer information as well as details regarding the packaging's conformity with the PPWR.
